Lovetts Solicitors has appointed Solicitor and Head of Litigation, Cassandra McCarthy, to the Firm’s Board of Directors. The move comes as part of a wider company expansion into new areas of litigation and dispute resolution.
Taking up the new role of Operations Director, Cassandra will provide leadership and support across all aspects of the Lovetts business, collaborating with the company’s senior management team to ensure strong performance and achievement of company objectives.
“Cassandra has proved instrumental in helping to create a fantastic culture and facilitating company growth in recent years, in addition to looking after a young family. She is a fantastic role model and fully deserves her appointment as Director.” said Michael Higgins, Managing Director for Lovetts. “In her role as Operations Director, Cassandra will lead, manage and collaborate with all Lovetts’ Managers and Directors and provide a strong voice on the board to help shape future growth and staff development. In particular, this new role will ensure - through support, training and development – that the firm maintains a consistently high level of service to all of our clients.”
Lovetts growth plan seeks to increase business at local, national, and international level. Within this, a number of new staff members including Solicitors have been taken on to help manage growing caseloads. On average, 86% of the firm’s cases are resolved at the Letter Before Action (LBA) stage. Lovetts is increasingly working with clients on an on-going basis to collect debts faster with over £40 million collected in over 100 Countries in the last 12 months.
“I’m delighted to have been appointed to the Lovetts Board of Directors,” says Cassandra McCarthy, Solicitor and now Operations Director for Lovetts. “The nature of debt collection and dispute resolution in the UK and indeed around the world these days is changing, and we want to be at the cutting edge of that change in terms of the range and level of service that we offer to our clients. Over the coming months I’ll be working across all departments to identify areas of growth and improvement, and working with the senior management team to see they are implemented.”
Cassandra takes up the new role of Operations Director with immediate effect.
