Web Security

Web data security is very important to you and to us. To protect your interests, we have implemented the following security measures:

Firewall

All the Lovetts servers are protected by state of the art firewalls to prevent unauthorised access from the Internet.

Encryption

All the information sent between your computer and our web server whilst you are within the client area of the web site is encrypted using market-leading Verisign encryption. You can verify this by looking for a small padlock symbol at the bottom of your browser window.

User Name and Password

Only Lovetts plc, or your authorised staff, will know what your security details are. Remember that you only get 3 attempts to login to Lovetts' web site with those details. This prevents mechanised hacking devices breaking the code. If you fail 3 times, you should telephone our Client Services staff, and when we have positively identified you, we will set you up with a new password.

Timeout

For additional protection, there is a timeout feature, which will automatically log you out of the client area after 30 minutes of inactivity. You will then need to go through the login procedure again if you wish to continue using the client area of the website.

Anti-Virus Software

All the Lovetts plc servers are protected with the latest anti-virus software. We constantly review our protection to ensure the highest level of coverage.

You can help

  1. Keep your username and password secret.
  2. Don't write down any codes in such a way that someone might understand.
  3. Regularly change your security details and don't use words or codes that might be known to others.
  4. Use anti-virus software to protect your computer from viruses and programs such as "Trojan horses" and update your software regularly.
  5. Don't accept email attachments from people you don't know or with unusual headings or introductory text.
  6. Please tell us if you think anyone else knows your username or password, and might be unauthorised
  7. Please consider initiating changes to usernames and/or passwords if staff leave your company
