Jonathan Liggins Jonathan Liggins is Operations Director and Head of Litigation.

Describing himself as "a Leicester lad", Jonathan qualified in 1973 as a solicitor and spent 20 years or more practising in the Midlands, specialising in civil litigation. He believes in taking a "robust" approach in his work, and thoroughly enjoys the cut and thrust of contested cases.

He joined Lovetts in 1995 and was quickly appointed Head of Litigation. He moved to Guildford, a town he now regards as home and holds in high regard.

He delights in making presentations to judges and seminar delegates, and regularly addresses Sunday congregations as a lay-preacher. He is a member of the Leadership team of New Hope Centre in Guildford.

Despite living in the south-east for some years, he retains a distinctive Leicester burr, sometimes described as a "gruff Midlands accent"!

He has three daughters, who ensure that he both maintains his interest in foreign travel and, sometimes a little less successfully, that he wears up-to-date clothes.

A "born-again biker", he has owned a series of high-powered Triumph motorcycles and currently rides a Triumph Bonneville. He also enjoys cycling around Surrey and further afield, having taken part enthusiastically in the London to Brighton Cycle Ride for British Heart Foundation in recent years. He is not content with terra firma, however, and his long-term aim is to get a Private Pilots' Licence.

He has recently set out to challenge the TV chefs by developing his culinary skills, much to the benefit of Lovetts' staff in their coffee breaks.
